Oh WOW!!! Those are stunning!

DEAD HAND RULE is out today! As an implacable enemy skitters nearer across the stars, Tara Abernathy gathers Gods and Deathless Kings alike to join forces. Of course, there's still a little fine print to be sorted out. But surely they'll be able to come together against the darkness. Any minute now.

The whole thing doesn't need to be re-scoured (thank goodness!), but hopefully I can get these sections a bit cleaner. And when I make my first thing with MY FLEECE (her name is Tuppence) I am NOT going to shut up about it.

I'm rewarding myself for finishing my book by . . . re-scouring some fleece. I'm a newbie at fiber prep, so I didn't get the whole thing good enough the first time. Merino (yes, I started on hard mode) looooves to make lanolin. Lots and lots of lanolin.

Finished the first draft of what will be MY NINETEENTH PUBLISHED BOOK. Holy moly.

I can't wait to tell you more about it. But until I can . . . read CONFESSIONS FROM THE GROUP CHAT and BYE FOREVER, I GUESS.

"I think you're getting better!" and "oh yes, it's definitely a cat."

Oh yeah. Put those on the cover of the paperback.

I would also like to say that I wasn't sure what to write in this book, but someone early on asked for a cat doodle, and I absolutely loved that suggestion.

So now 99% of the people receiving a book will also be subjected to my . . . artwork.

Good news bad news good news situation:
I visited One More Page yesterday to sign copies of CONFESSIONS FROM THE GROUP CHAT and we SOLD OUT! YAY!

But also, we sold out. So. There was no stock for me to sign.

However, I had one (1) copy in my car, which I signed and left with them.

I am very happy for her. I know she’ll be a good mom.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I find this very motivating:

Every morning I text a friend and we call our reps/do postcards/whatever. When we report back, we each share a photo. Usually it's cats, but sometimes it's other stuff like spiders** or weird plants we found.
