It was pathetic. That 1st low inside strike he used to crank. His feet are closer to the plate than they used to. He's always looking suprised at those calls. Then he swings at that ridiculous outside pitch. Non-competitive is a perfect description.

Hate to say it, but yes. That 1st low inside strike he took... when he was himself his feet were off the plate another two inches and he would have stroked the ball hard to right.

The guy wanted to walk their entire lineup and the Mets wouldn't let him.

They just continue to flail at horrendous pitches.

Stop flailing at pitches you can't do anything with even if you hit them. Jesus, when they have been disciplined at the plate this year they've been amazing. It's so annoying watching them chase horrible pitches.

I'd set it up differently, lineup order and defense. Never quite understand some of the choices. We've seen what works well and what's not so great.

I agree. And you have Lindor standing on 2nd, possibly even advancing to 3rd on a throw home.

Never understood certain things our club does. We jerk players in & out of the lineup who have proved w/consistent playing time they fly. Then we keep certain players in that have had small hot streaks followed by absolutely nothing for long stretches. Keep going back to what we know doesn't work.
