Campaign update. When I ordered 1000 flyers, I thought it was overkill. Ended up running out and re-ordering.

I am a professor at the Australian National University, studying evolutionary biology... bees, parasites, snakes, you name it. Father and aspiring cellist.

02.10.2025 09:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Campaigning at the CSS College forum! Itโs really good that they have a regular event like this. Thereโs even food and drinks! Iโm sure we have enough money to do this at every College and bring people together.
29.09.2025 01:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Third day of campaigning for ANU Council. Ran out of flyers while visiting the folks in the CASS building. Iโve never been inside and itโs gorgeous. Sadly, ran out of time for the top floor, and Iโm now in Sydney. See you next week!

Second day of my ANU Council campaign. Getting to know my CBE colleagues
23.09.2025 23:57 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Running for ANU Council is difficult decision as a unionist, but I feel strongly that ANU needs a member with deep institutional history and governance experience right now. My ultimate loyalty is to the entire ANU community. On the Council I will work for the benefit of all our students and staff.
22.09.2025 23:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A key part of my campaign is bringing community feedback directly to the ANU Council. If you have opinions on what our priorities should be, I want to hear them. You can submit your thoughts here: forms.gle/CgCWGhusTpa4...
22.09.2025 23:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I submitted my nomination to the ANU Council. My goal is to bring a deep knowledge of our university and previous governance experience to our government body. My goals are to hold administration accountable, and to bring the community's voice to the Council. mikheyev.github.io/anu-council-...
22.09.2025 23:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It is depressing, but view what we found in the study as kind of a positive. We know insects are disappearing but getting a sense for the cause can help mitigate the losses. In Fiji itโs very likely land cover change and habitat fragmentation.
19.09.2025 23:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Community feedback sought to identify what's wrong with current governance and propose solutions. It's a clear example of the national-level issues on our campus. A good reason for politicians to help the sector by fixing the ANU Act. anugovernance-davidpocock.nationbuilder.com/community_vi...
19.09.2025 23:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The interim report on university governance aligns with what the ANU community has been saying. The government's recommendations for greater transparency and accountability, like publishing meeting minutes and disclosing executive pay, directly reflect what we want.

I will be a strong and consistent voice that:
(1) makes sure the Council knows and acts on the realities of ANU staff,
(2) holds management accountable,
(3) implements genuine transparency in decision making, and
(4) insists on integrity and accountability.
I am running for the ANU Council. If you are a member of NTEU, please consider voting for me. Here is my platform, in brief:
I have worked in academic governance on three continents over decades, including six years in ANU College leadership.
