TBH, if you’re at the point of needing an assessment, I have never personally seen a case where the person passed. I would say trust the process. Primary care physicians can also weigh in if the person has a diagnosis that limits or prohibits driving.

So here’s a little known tip. You can avoid the family battle with an older adult who shouldn’t be driving by getting them a clinical driving assessment. Many health systems do it. Let them recommend taking away the keys. It’s easy, definitive and unbiased.
