We finally have an answer for the unruly customer chastising a restaurant worker for an incorrect order: “Actually, operating a restaurant *IS* like rocket science.”

I would have asked for a photo, but I’m sure he would have absolutely roasted me in front of my family.

It’s Chicago Weekend™️ here on Elliot Mann BlueSky, and the other day I saw someone with a Burj Khalifa T-shirt walking around downtown Chicago, which is a Steve Spurrier level of hating. Just PhD level pettiness. I love it.

That said, we all get to watch “The Fugitive” this coming week.

No one in my family has seen “The Fugitive,” so my “You changed the samples… You switched the samples, DIDNT YOU” reference in that same Chicago hotel this weekend completely fell flat.

Have you guys gotten to any of the Murdoc episodes yet? Those are incredible. There is a reveal in one of them that absolutely floored my adolescent self. (Enough that I’m still talking about it [redacted] years later.)

The good Coldplay joke to me is that they have been a five-piece band for 30 years, and the other four dudes are *completely anonymous* as can be to the normal public. They could have worn masks this entire time like Slipknot or Kiss and they couldn’t be more faceless. It’s incredible.

Whenever the new Js come out I want to be excited, but invariably I feel the same way I do when someone tells me there is a new Nas record. I mean, I’m glad he’s still doing what makes him happy, but, it’s just never going to mean now what it once did.

Ugh. The reaping/sowing meme come to life. The worst was when you hadn’t learned yet that it was inevitable. Terminal ass outsoles.

I’m not huge on lows to play in — absolutely shredded my ankle in Kobe XIs — but this was a really fun shoe to play in. And had good traction durability for outdoors!

Aaron - you aren’t lying about the soles going straight oxidized yellow though. They had me watching videos about restoring “icy soles.” Smh.

I loved these, but for some reason they made my knee balky when I played in them. But they got me back into checking for sneakers again after years of wearing Nike Frees and whatever.

And I bought them in an actual store! The joy of trying on a shoe and walking out with a new pair. Undefeated.
