Well, you're suggesting we shrink the size a coalition has to be in order to have full control of the legislature. You're saying it's necessary to be able to govern. To support that claim, I want to hear what other solutions you've looked at, so I can understand why we can't do better than that.

Causality is multifaceted, but I think some opponent's opinions had to change for CRA to pass. Pressure being necessary as well doesn't contradict that.

If we looked at opinion polls over time, I'm sure we'd see a meaningful change leading up to CRA, right?

I think signs can win people over tbh. It frustrates me that people aren’t trying. I think thats *why* we’re seeing a turn authoritarianism- we’ve lost faith in our ability to change minds.

IMO The civil rights movement succeeded by winning over “racists”...

There is however an authority placement issue:

1. Who decides if the games violate the payment processor’s policies?
2. Why does valve not communicate any limits on the rules it will respect?

I think the fear here is that valve has somehow been coerced, and lost some autonomy.

Not to mention if nobody gives sources, then people without sources can get way more attention.

I think people often jump right to stronger scaling, but weak scaling can be very cool! It makes charge all about aim, and it creates a lot of flexibility in how you deal your damage!
