For goodness sake, how historically illiterate can you get? The suffragettes were campaigning against male oppression, and FILIA is a women’s conference that does the same. People who attack a conference venue because women are meeting are just like the violent men who fought the suffragettes.

They are an absolute nightmare. Haven’t used them for 4 years since I moved - had them for cable where I lived before, but it isn’t an option now - and I’m very glad that source of stress is gone.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.

Badenoch: Curb students taking 'rip-off' degrees such as English The performing arts, sociology and anthropology are among the subjects the Conservatives would like to cut

So, the plan is to cut English, the arts, and sociology - the degrees that actually study culture - while on another part of your platform claiming to β€œdefend” British culture.

It’s performance nationalism with a reading age of seven.

β€œMe, me, me, me, me.” Not one mention of wanting to love and fulfil someone else - he freely says he wants a relationship that’s just about taking. What a monstrous ego.

It’s odd here on UK BlueSky. We get a few precious hours doing a bit of fun whimsy in the morning despite knowing how shit everything is.

And then the US logs on and ruins everything with their obviously approaching guerrilla civil war, weirdly based on the movie Civil War directed by Alex Garland

This article manages to name her husband before it names… her.

Is it their responsibility, though? An ordinary Jewish person whose family have lived in the UK for decades, or even 100+ years, shouldn’t have to feel obliged to talk publicly about Netanyahu and Gaza. Some figures with big followings do eg Michael Rosen, which has a big reach and impact.

Once when I was 9 mths pregnant and visibly the size of a whale, I was slowly traversing a pedestrian crossing with my toddler son. The lights started flashing amber, at which a thug started madly revving his car at me. So I stood and glared for around 20 seconds. He was pathetically livid. V funny.

My eldest son had to do recorded interviews back in 2016/17, for big company graduate engineering jobs. Usually as stage 2 out of a 4-stage recruitment process.

Dear parents - Yes you can give your sick child paracetamol if they’re >3 months old. It’s an excellent painkiller. It brings down a high temperature. It’s one of the safest drugs available. You are right to want to soothe your child’s distress. Evidence supports your good parenting. Be confident.

I have approximately zero following on this app, sharing in the hopes it can get in front of the right person. A man I went to college with’s wife was kidnapped by ICE at a green card hearing, and he’s trying to find a reporter who will speak to him about the situation
