Huge announcement. Been saying this for a while, but Activision needs to really rethink Call of Duty entirely. It's one of the only franchises that hasn't really changed the experience drastically outside of sports games. As much as I like BO7, I think it's time CoD matured.

Been playing a bunch of Arc Raiders again over the weekend and amidst the discussion of the Expedition rewards, I feel like the game needs more pinnacle items to chase.

Stuff for the hardcore, like challenges, random camos/accessories that have a super rare chance of spawning.

If this isn't Lords of the Fallen 2, which I doubt CI Games has the money for, I would not be surprised if this ends up being Devil May Cry 6.

The big question now is what happens with WB Games. Seemingly forever in turmoil, will they keep it running as is to solve the issues Netflix has had in gaming or flog it off for parts and license the IPs, but I'm not sure who is buying these studios without the IPs attached.

Amazing what good multiplayer maps does for Call of Duty. Almost every map here in Black Ops 7 is better than what was in Black Ops 6.

First mission of the Black Ops 7 campaign and whatever this is, I dont want any of it. Feels like it isnt being taken seriously with zombies, level popups camo challenges, XP, loot boxes and caches. Save all that stuff for endgame, why is it here 5 minutes in.

I think Black Ops 7's multiplayer is pretty fun but I think it says a lot that this release has felt very deflated, mostly because Arc Raiders has managed three weeks of being the talk of the town. Plus I'd rather be playing that I think.

As someone who just made the move from console gaming to PC, it is mad that in 10 years we have gone from consoles dominating the market to PC gaming being easier and cheaper than ever and consoles being obscenely expensive.
