Twice a week sounds good. Small correction: Oxford has the Museum of Natural History, not the National History Museum.

I like my bosch gas hob with knobs on it. It's stainless steel and 21 years old. Quite easy to clean too. I carbon-offset the gas hob by cycling to work :-) We also have a single induction ring that I use sometimes.

Police on scene after cyclist knocked off bike in Oxford collision A cyclist was knocked off their bike at The Plain roundabout in Oxford, police have confirmed in a statement.

Once again "car and cyclist", not "car and bicycle" or "driver and cyclist". The bias in local rags like @theoxfordmail.bsky.social is incredible. I'm glad there were no serious injuries, and happy to see "crash" rather than "accident" used to describe it. www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2554795...

I'm not sure I see the point in Covid testing any more unless being in close contact with particularly vulnerable people or groups. Covid is everywhere now. If I'm ill I stay at home, if I'm well I go to work. I want to avoid giving people any illness, not just Covid.

Recognising the rights of trans women has ZERO impact on the rights of cis women.

I care much more about doing the right thing than I care about losing votes. God doesn't make mistakes in creating people. Sometimes humans assign the wrong gender to people at birth.

The court ruling was rather more nuanced than you appear to be capable of understanding. The Torygraph headline is opinion, not fact. There is no spite in LidDem policy. Misgendering a trans person is bullying. Please desist. I've reported your harassing post.

That's Iffley Road though isn't it? I'd have a word with those driving their little darlings to certain private education providers in the vicinity.

Yep. The hypocrisy is staggering. Most of the time I reckon the traffic at the plain doesn't add more than 5 or 10 mins onto a bus journey coming from the Leys along Cowley Road. The advantage of a bus over driving a car is that it's not dead time either. You can read, do emails etc.

A really brilliant fact-filled letter. Let's hope at least our elected politicians will responsibly accept the facts you present rather than continuing with their populist misinformation.

Is the text available somewhere please? Some are struggling to read it from the images.

Why are these here on Little Clarendon Street @oxfordshirecc.bsky.social ? I thought you had a policy that proscribed these signs?

Extremely loud awful music and diesel fumes are pumping in through my office window. What's the point of St Giles fair at this time of day when kids are back at school and people are trying to work?

The Lisbon funicular disaster is shocking and tragic. My heart goes out to all those who have been seriously injured or lost loved ones.

It's interesting that the number of deaths is about 1% of the number of people killed on UK Roads in a year. That's life loss as above each and every four days.

Often I ask the dentist not to use anaesthetic as I find a numb face for hours is much more unpleasant than a short period of tolerable low level pain. I once chewed my lip into a right mess as a child following dental anaesthesia.

It doesn't have any through roads so it is by definition (rather than by design) an LTN. A bit like lots of North Abingdon.

Reliance Way is on the wrong side of Cowley Road to need to be an LTN. It's a cut through to nowhere unless you're walking or on a bike or scooter. You could loop back out of Saunders Road in a car but nothing else.

Great weekly from @oxfordclarion.bsky.social but I think that if someone is arrested, goes to hospital then goes into police custody (re 21 year old driving into flats on St Aldates) they are discharged from hospital rather than released aren't they?

Spend public money on cyber risk reduction, not barefaced political campaigning for a very obviously gerrymandered proposal. That's the link.
