ICYMI. A report for Active Travel England on estimating the benefits of active travel was published last week.

Looks to be a helpful summary of some of the key appraisal issues and identifies the interventions that can do badly under the current approaches (eg traffic reduction & area wide schemes)

Meanwhile, the Netherlands are just getting on with providing safe, convenient and free cycle parking in towns and cities, for anyone to use.

I believe @willnorman.co.uk needs to make parking a priority. Visit any cycling city eg Ghent /Amsterdam & see how popular cycling creates masses of parked cycles so they build parking garages. Here Hounslow used parking as excuse to stop Londoners choosing to cycle across boroughs on Lime bikes.
