Four white, stylized star shapes are scattered around the main text, with two on the top right and two on the bottom left.
Today is Bi+ Visibility Day! For over 50 years, I've been saying that every time a bisexual person makes their identity known, that is a form of activism. So today, let's celebrate all the ways bi+ people are visibleβas well as the beautiful and complex ways we exist.

This book is absolutely gorgeous and I have simply devoured it over the past few days. Although fiction, it certainly reflects real life prejudices and the impact of underestimating children.

LGBT pupils: Paul Givan says research removed 'to keep website up to date' - BBC News
The Department of Education commissioned the research on the experience of LGBT pupils, and published it in 2017.
It might be an older piece of research, but as Alexa Moore comments, understanding young people's experiences are crucial. Erasing research that provides a platform for their voices is dreadful π

I'm teaching RSE in a school this week. I think schools really need to focus on a massive programme of radical socialisation. Make them sites of joy and possibility. Put that first and then think about the curriculum (inc RSE). Not the other way round. Academic achievement will also follow.
