Piss boy should be careful about asking for a "merit principle" considering how many times he lost his job a few months ago

Why has sciency media gone from actual educational stuff to just slop. Scientific American, TLC, History Channel, Discovery. The decline should be studied.

Probably an Albertan. They always make poor decisions just so they can vote for idiots.

Well, he did call Trump Hitler, and then run as his VP, so of course he would defend it

Oh yeah, that part i never disputed. He was a fuckin idiot. And the vikings were the first Europeans to get to the Americas anyway.

Which also makes it even more nonsensical that some Latin American countries don't count Mexico as part of central america. But in the simplest sense. In the Americas, there are 2 major land masses, that have been crashing together for over a million years and it's easy to see where they're crashing

14.10.2025 16:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That separating at this point in time is absolutely arbitrary, which is why "Eurasia" is the more accurate name for that entire land mass

14.10.2025 16:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Considering most rivers, normally would be fresh water traveling from a lake out to the sea, not cleanly from one end of a land mass to the other. I feel like water ways between inland seas are a little different.

14.10.2025 16:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Commonly referred to as the subcontinent. Which, much like Europe, wouldve been a separate continent at one point millions of years ago.

14.10.2025 16:30 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

A river would be a bad measure regardless. But a region of nearly impassable terrain where 2 continental masses started to connect is a better measure than a man made water lock system

The Panama Canal is man made. Not a continental divide.

Literally the Darian Gap

14.10.2025 16:25 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

but CA is an arbitrary "seperation" that is officially a region in North America because why would you reasonably separate the continents because of the Rio Grande. But wait, some countries don't count Mexico as part of CA, which is also wrong.

14.10.2025 16:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Actually, continental masses is a really good way to define continents. Since you can look at them and how they've moved over millions of years and see the different puzzle pieces. Europe was likely a separate continent at one point before crashing into Asia. There is a divide between NA and SA

14.10.2025 16:17 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Respectfully, that's not how continents work. Central America is a region in North America, since it is part of the same continental mass
