yeah I discovered a collection of Interactive Fiction games preserved and managed by Retro Exo and his team. Looking through all of it now and man.. it's got some pretty cool things :D

Death Dreadnaught, a text adventure games released on the TRS-80 in 1980.. I guess the Alien franchise had a profound effect on gaming even back then.

yeah in gaming terms, these games are ancient. Most covers I posted were from the early to mid 80's. Almost as old as I am xD

I think I only beat the Zork games and Crystal Cave when it comes to games in this genre. I still want to at least try and beat some of these. The covers look interesting. Also, Bored of the Rings could either be comedy gold or pure cringe. Either way, I want to play it lol

Looking at text adventure games today, otherwise known as interactive fiction games. As much as these games tend to test my patience with how picky the parser can be, I still adore them.
