Keir Starmer, it's time to listen and act. Because a country that forgets its poorest children is nothing to be proud of.

CALL TO ACTION Contact your Regional Adoption Agency (RAA).
On 8th May, Janet Dabysaid RAA’s will be able to use their funding to increase the amount of therapy for a child where needed.
Let's ask them if they can. And tell them to lobby Janet Daby if they can't.

Farage:

"7.2 million foreign-born people have registered with GPs in the last 10 years... All I'm doing here is giving you cold hard facts".

Well here's another cold hard fact - 40.6% of GPs in England and Wales are foreign born.

The NHS would completely collapse without workers from abroad.

I hope my local MP @andrewpakes.bsky.social is one of those who attends sessions on the care system and becomes proactive in standing up for vulnerable children, young people and families! I am currently really disappointed with @teamlabouruk.bsky.social approach to supporting children & families

Sadly it feels as if adopters get more sympathy when dealing with a broken system as it falls into the 'saviour' narrative and is easy to blame the unworthy first parent - reality is too many first parents are the children who were removed and / or not supported with their own trauma

@andrewpakes.bsky.social I do hope as one of your constituency I can count on you supporting this call for adoption reform in the Parliament News article above? The current adoption crisis is a reflection of the social care system for all families and drastic changes are needed

18.04.2025 07:15 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I agree there needs to be reform and a lot more understanding about the lack of post adoption support however, my personal and professional experiences suggest to me there needs to be a lot more going 'upstream' to support first parents properly and prevent separation and the 'need' for adoption

YouTube video by Peter Stefanovic Nigel Farage says first thing he would do as PM if he won a GE would be to remove UK from the ECHR

Nigel Farage has told ITV News the first thing he would do as prime minister if he won a general election would be to remove the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights

That alone is good reason never to vote for Reform UK.

I've emailed my MP a number of times now I'm so frustrated about the impact of what Labour are doing to vulnerable children and families.
What a blow, to find the right therapist (which is like gold dust) then have funding almost halved! Desperately hoping that the decision is overturned

As a single adopter of 2, I'd never have been able to afford it! The oddest response to me adopting 2 children as a single parent was "that's not financially viable" turned out to be one of the truest!!

Cruel cuts to disability support: the Work and Pensions Secretary needs to hear from your MP Our social security system should be there for us all, especially when we need it most. But the UK government has proposed huge cuts to disabled people’s support when they’re already three times more ...

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

We’re calling on the UK government to rethink planned cuts to disability support, and update Universal Credit so that it at least covers the cost of essentials like food and bills.

And you can help us – email your MP now ‡️ action.trussell.org.uk/disability-c...
