Was this UCL? At Oxford, a scheme to pay interview expenses for candidates from low income families was introduced in 2018. www.ox.ac.uk/news/2018-11... I agree this is very late! I think it was done on an individual basis by some colleges before then. Undergraduate interviews now take place online.
