Nourish and sustain us,
Lord Jesus,
by the sacrament
of your body and blood,
that in our communion with you
and by your presence in us
by your Holy Spirit,
our faith may be deepened
and strengthened.
Keep us faithful
to your call on our lives,
to sharing your love.

Help us, Lord Jesus,
to remain attentive
in our relationship with you,
to be awake to your presence
and alert to your guidance,
that we may be
ready, willing and able
to hear your wisdom,
know your calling,
and follow where you lead,
shining the light of your love.

the capacity, the openness,
the willingness and the longing
to bring your love to birth

our parishes and their people,

the seeds of your kingdom,
of your love,
that we may bear
the good fruit of your grace.
Although we allow other seeds

sift from us that
which is not of you;

give us ears and eyes,
hearts and minds
to understand
your call upon us
to follow the way
of your kingdom;
and when we wander off
and lose our way,
to heed your call
to turn back to you,
bringing our burdens
to exchange for
the easy weight

to meet injustice
not with a desire
for revenge and retribution,
but with the strength
to expose it, name it,
and shame it.
Guide us not to play evil
at its own game,
but to show to all the way
of your justice, peace and love.
