This is a new bad movie night watch and sides with The Room & films by Neil Breen it terms of its cultness.

It’s a very loose adaptation of HG Wells novel & I have seen previous ones from George Pal or Steven Spielberg, I even listened to Orson Welles talking about it.

It’s literally an Searching/Missing-esque alien invasion film that’s at best generic.

And this movie is that. Killing time by killing brain cells. This is the worst movie I’ve seen this year but I can see this being a bad movie classic.

The acting is cheesy and mostly phoned in, the special effects is laughable & this being a Amazon commercial is insulting.

It’s a genre term I like to call “Fakecore” which applies to any Netflix movie with a ridiculous idea like an Ricky Gervais/Eric Bana team up or Jennifer Lopez seeing Simu Liu as an AI character.

I could make a whole list of this but as much as it’ll kill my time, it may kill my brain cells.

War of the Worlds: It’s Worse Than You Think - My initial thoughts

The idea of War of the Worlds starring Ice Cube sounds like a joke. A fake movie joke that exists within a Hollywood comedy starring Adam Sandler.

But it’s a fake movie that now exists in our life no matter how nuts it sounded.

Will give my thoughts tomorrow morning (it’s getting late here) but if I can predict on what I think, I think it may be a so-bad-it’s-a-watchable-trainwreck.
