I think they are miserable. I have a theory that so much of the culture war is a projection of the Right's core insecurities. See if they like something that is unpopular, or if they hate something that is popular, then that means they are in the "out group" a fate worse than death for them.

They absolutely do not understand art as anything other than a commodity. Sales/chart performance/box office is the sole mark of quality in their eyes, which is why they try to artificially inflate the sales/streams of stuff they see as bring anti-woke.

It's a rare thing indeed for me to buy a game in early access, but I do not regret spending 20 bucks on Jump Space at all. It's not feature complete, but the core loop is rock solid, especially in co-op with friends.
