Wish we'd get little motion comics like these again, I really enjoy seeing Zelda characters get translated to Wind Waker's art style like this.

A good reminder that while Metal Gear Rising was incredibly loud and completely devoid of subtlety, people mistook that for being dumb.

It is not. It's one of the most clear-eyed and pointed political satires AND most plausible takes on cyberpunk around.

Oh wow, so good old notepad.exe is still in C:\Windows where it's always been, but it cannot be used as it just opens the Copilot "Notepad" app.

But... You if you uninstall "Notepad" from applications, you will get the real notepad.exe back and working.

I don't know what to think of this.

Rare, Turn 10, and Raven are incredible studios who have produced so many games I love over the years. They all deserved better than this.

It really does make me sad to see english-speaking spaces talk about the show the way that they do. If there is anything I wish for it’s for people to try and meet the show on its own terms without listening to anything else online and let the themes and messaging wash over you. It’s beautiful…

I’ve had such a long journey with this show, from when I first thought it sucked and was sanctimonious way back in 2021 to thinking now after I’ve graduated college that it’s one of the franchise’s most pure and uncompromising series, period. It feels like I finally understand, I get it now.

There is something about the way Kira’s willingness to love and to give humanity a chance, even after experiencing the very worst of it, expressed through his rebuttal to Rau in the climax of the show that deeply moves me. To be able to stare the embodiment of nihilism in the face and say “no.”

SEED and its sequel slowly, painfully shows how prejudice rots the human soul, leaves them to be a husk capable of only hatred for whom is the target of their ire. It’s embodied by the first show’s two main villains! Rau and Patrick gave in to their despair and felt humanity had failed them!

It’s a profoundly human work that isn’t afraid to show the consequences of a society gripped by antipathy, only intensified by SEED Destiny. They are shows intimately in conversation with the idea that through hatred, we will forget our own humanity and lose sight of what we even are.

I used to have a stick up my ass when it came to a lot of things, and I certainly still do. That being said I think one thing I can happily say about myself has improved dramatically is my capacity to enjoy something for what it is without fear of being judged. SEED is beautiful, CE is beautiful.

Thinking about this show again and what its begun to mean to me.

Western game studios are so unbelievably cooked.

Capcom reveals were good, Project Century looks amazing and there was some other nuggets of good here and there (the beat 'ems that got shown and Towa, also Code Vein II). Everything else about this event was unabashedly dogshit. The worst SGF in years, possibly ever.
