OF Braiden Ward to Boston for LHP Brennan Bernardino

Ward (208 SB in four MiLB seasons) was not part of Colorado's plan. Instead of losing him in the Rule 5 draft, they get a lefty vet for the bullpen with a career 3.47 ERA.

Colorado also designates for assignment 1B Michael Toglia and LHP Ryan Rolison.

Game-winning field goal as time expires gives Denver a 22-19 win over Kansas City.

The Broncos are now 9-2 with an eight-game winning streak.

By comparison, the Colorado Rockies have not had a winning streak that long since early in 2019.

For the third time in five years, the #Rockies did not have a single player on any ballot for NL MVP voting.

Before 2021, Colorado had that happen only twice (2005, 2012) in 28 seasons.

To correct my previous post regarding the Colorado Rockies and Warren Schaeffer, the club is in contact with their interim manager and the plan is to converse more this week.

Schaeffer, 40, took over for a club projected for 134 losses and avoided the Modern Era record for most in a single season.

Paul DePodesta will be introduced as Colorado’s new President of Baseball Operations next Thursday, Nov 13.

Hunter Goodman is the Louisville Silver Slugger Award winner in the NL.

Goodman lead all NL catchers in slugging (.520), homers (31), extra-base hits (64), OPS (.843) and RBI (91).

He's the 17th to earn the award for Colorado, their first catcher and the first since Trevor Story in 2019.

The Colorado Rockies are hiring Paul DePodesta of the NFL's Cleveland Browns to be their head of baseball operations.

DePodesta worked for the Athletics from 1999-2003 during the Moneyball movement before becoming the GM of the Dodgers at age-31 in 2004.

As part of the lead up to the 2026 World Baseball Classic, Team USA will play the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields on Wednesday, March 4.

#Rockies have outrighted LHP Lucas Gilbreath and INF Aaron Schunk from the 40-man roster.

Both players have elected free agency, according @mlbtraderumors

Gilbreath, a Colorado native, has been with the organization since 2017 while Schunk was a 2nd round pick in 2019.

RHP Dugan Darnell has been claimed off waivers by the Pirates.

Darnell, 28, had a 3.86 ERA with the #Rockies after a rather impressive 3.19 ERA in the hitter-friendly PCL.

Pittsburgh has placed on the 60-day IL following an offseason hip surgery that could delay his 2026 start.
