Battlestar Galactica is brilliant *and* influenced contemporary science fiction in beautiful ways. I don't know if we would have had The Expanse without Battlestar Galactica.

Baltar is such a hateful, spineless ass. He's entertainingly terrible. James Callis did a brilliant job with the character.

The Expanse and Battlestar Galactica are my first/second favorite shows (placing depends on the episode, honestly).
