To so many people who think they're "neutral" on this, this is all abstract theoretical argument - this isn't about the trans or lesbian communities that actually exist, it's about hypothetical ones straight people have made up in their minds. Actual lesbian views of trans folks are very different.

All this money & energy spent to make life more miserable for trans people could've been used to fight against domestic violence, wage disparity, sexual harassment, harassment of people accessing abortion services, proper childcare provision; you know, to make the world a better place instead.

An important reminder as the Supreme Court makes its judgement - not a single trans person was heard from at any point during this case before them, even a trans judge who applied was refused.

This is, as usual, the British state acting as cis people to impose their will on trans people.

Essential reading on today's regressive ruling. It's worse than I thought; giving scope for trans women (and men) to be exluded from anywhere that decides it is single sex.

Defining who a lesbian can be is fucking outrageous as well...

The authors report that despite differential kinetics, COVID-19-recovered and -naive individuals developed comparable and long-lasting immunity.

Diverse priming outcomes under conditions of very rare precursor B cells B cells that give rise to neutralizing antibody responses can be extremely rare in the naive B cell repertoire. Madden et al. show that delivery strategy and adjuvant selection affect the recruitment and expansion of rare broadly neutralizing antibody-precursor B cells after immunization with an HIV germline-targeting vaccine and that antibody feedback appears to substantially influence the boosting response.
