Can you give me a quick run down of roughly how they work? I'm guessing you read a bunch of history about the period and then tried to come up with ways of representing it simply?

how do you find the rules? looks like a good scale for ancient naval battles

War by Sail rules:
Took me 9 months to research and playtest. My partner thought I was nuts entering in all the stats for like 1200 ships and adding up the points values on a calculator... nowadays I use excel for points values🤣

Some more photos from last game. Next game (this time using the War by Sail rules) will be much more balanced. It's a fairly simple but accurate system. Ships take time to be worn down, and (generally) don't just magically sink in 1 turn. Each dice you roll is an actual gun on the ship too!

Played some age of sail wargames last month, and I'LL DO IT AGAIN this month. This time playing my War by Sail rules. Last time we used Osprey's Fighting Sail, but they're pretty whack... French 1st rates literally sailing rings around British 1st Rates. Physics doesn't work like that 😂

Yeah it definitely accentuates those missiles deploying, but idk Obi Wan has been in danger the whole time... just now he's in - more danger?

Rewatching the #StarWars #prequels - noticed this scene doesn't have any music - anyone have any idea why? seems like the kind of place where generally they would have some action score. Did they not have time to score it, or was it a deliberate choice not to have music? #filmmusic #music

Bach's St Matthew Passion. Fell in love with this ever since it was in our music history class many years ago. Bach's passions are sublime masterpieces, especially when played on period instruments!

Publish it on drivethruRPG. All you need is a PDF and people can buy it and you can do printed books on demand. Pretty painless setup. I publish on wargame vault (drivethru for wargames) and was surprised when my first games (very basic word files) started to sell. I quickly upped my art/cover game🤣
