First time we did the GOR (2006) we went Torquay to Portland..

This time we traveled from the west but, thanks to an unprecedented event at Wye River the day before we were to go that way, we experienced Colac and the dreaded Pacific Freeway

Impetus to get back

We didn’t even get that far- we came down the Hopkins from Mortlake, had lunch at Warrnambool, turned right at Allandale and continued to Port Campbell

Last time though I’m pretty sure we got to Port Fairy. Maybe not too

And now learning that it would have featured in our Goldie trek of Jan’23 🙄
