This was always how I saw things too; there were always early bits that showed JJ and RJ were buddies skit Star Wars, even before 2025.

And 100% to your second point; they NEVER deserved the extreme hate/harassment; it always struck a nerve because it felt like nobody learned from the prequel days.

As I’ve said before, it’s genuinely really great to see JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson collaborating on things again.

They both did great jobs contributing to the sequel trilogy & have stated before that they’ve enjoyed each other’s works/movies.

So it’s great to see them together half a decade later.

I’m so damn ready for the bye week. I bleed silver and blue until I die, but I need a break from this team, and their infuriating need to always make things harder than they need to be.
