The battle to have this stuff overturned is going to be long and it's going to happen in spaces and political avenues that most of us have no meaningful access to whatsoever, so we have to build parallel strucutres that keep us safe instead.

The London trans community, this has been pointed out over and over again, is quite segregated. Most spaces are either white spaces or poc spaces, and that generally means that organising being done by white trans people misses the people most at risk of the worst violence

I've been saying this and I'll keep saying it, but we also need to confront who is most at risk and organise to protect them. Most of the representation we have as a community are white middle class trans people who come from a pretty comfortable background

It's also worth people who are seriously looking at leaving the country setting red lines now for what will make you leave, because it's easy to just perpetually adjust to a new level of fascism

It is urgent that trans communities organise and make practical steps to build structures so we can keep us safe. We have to make community resources that won't turn anyone away, we have to stop wasting time, we have to stop acting like cops to each other and we have to build something
