I live in a farming community that depends on the labor of immigrants from Mexico and Central America, and I would love it if we shifted the conversation from their usefulness as laborers. They are my neighbors, my friends, my kids’ friends, their families. They are so much more than their use.

Have your local agencies (police department, public schools, hospital district) released statements saying they will not aid ICE? If not, call and ask why! I’m proud of my lil town for our agencies’ support of our immigrants.
