Breaking up snowcrete & moving the chunks is heart-attack territory, if you’re not used to this sort of thing.

I helped my neighbors break their car out of its snowcrete tomb. Hard work, but invigorating. Onwards.

A few are digging cars out.

I’m going to back to clear ice from walk in front of a vacant house, whose owner passed & her neighbors didn’t step up.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

I fear this may be the darkest winter in living memory in the United States.

We’re at the precipice of state violence & human rights abuses that will pull us further into the abyss.

My heart breaks daily, but I have more hope now than a year ago.

A sleeping giant is finally awaking to the threat.

So many people have been kind & generous to me, over the decades. I passed some of that karma on today. If that inspires you, please pay it forward in your community. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

I gave my nextdoor neighbor my parking spot, after I’d dug out an off-street place to move our car. He’d come home from work & begun to chip out a buried spot, in front of my vehicle. Felt good to make someone’s day. Might have made a friend.

This is, quite frankly, complete bullshit. I’ve received more criticism, harassment, and — at one point — calls for my death in the past six months of criticizing this administration than I did in an entire FBI career of investigations, operations, and arrests. And I never wore a goddamn mask.

What size shoe do you wear?

Perhaps you might come to visit Washington and direct your anger to them, then.

If only I had amplified a set of reforms that might speak to the problems posed by a lack of liability or absurd immunity.

I also think asking me if I think X action will make Y complicated social problem “all better” is intentionally provocative, even hostile, when I made no such claim.
