This has been coming from the beginning. All major democracy-supporting NGOs and foundations have their legal complaints already drafted. And in time, perhaps not even much time, they will win their cases. What is needed most in the meantime is courage. Keep saying what you think, doing what you do.

Look, they do not have the capacity or competence to do this at the scale they want you to fear they do, and your fear is precisely their greatest force multiplier. Everybody who is cowed into silence by their threats allows them a smaller pool to focus on.

Exactly. They can't get me fired and I'm not scared of a few mean messages, so they got nothing.

Two things are true:

1. These people really want to make the US into Nazi Germany 2.0

2. They're pathetically weak. Their successes come from making people afraid of power they don't really have.

Do not assume that everything they set out to do is inevitable. They have been successfully fought on multiple fronts, from courtroom wins that have actually stuck to city and state governments that haven't backed down, to activists in the streets organizing against their violence.

Democratic elected officials, here's some unsolicited advice.

People are looking for leadership. Right now. This moment.

Someone, anyone, take the konch and forcefully respond to JD Vance and Stephen Miller's promise to declare war against America.

A very scary bill just passed in Ohio for transgender folks. No one but local LGBTQ+ orgs are talking about it.

First, Ohio is only recognizing sex assigned at birth, male or female. You can get in trouble for stating otherwise on documents, I imagine. I may need to change my state ID back. 1/5
