Maine’s voter ID proposal is a poll tax in disguise
Maine voters will vote on whether they will require state-issued identification to vote. But voter ID will devastate to older, rural populations and students.
Maine leads the nation in voter turnout. But that might change this fall.
A partisan-led voter ID proposal would impose some of the strictest standards in the nation, disenfranchising students in the cities and older people in the country.
