What I dont get is that allegedly his thought process is that ,

in fear of a Reform government people will vote Labour to stop it happening, but what is the point when Labour are just going and dropping Reform policies anyway?

Listening to the FT podcast where they say Mahmood is McSweeney's top choice of successor and the idea that Starmer will go but the man most responsible for his catastrophic unpopularity will get to choose the next PM is, um, optimistic on his part

2- when Labour get spanked at the locals in May will the party

a) finally realise that the votes theyre losing atm are from people switching to other left wing parties

b) just double down & instigate even more Reformy policies, even though Reform voters would NEVER going to vote labour anyway

Long time labour voter & MK resident

genuine questions- could you pass this up to McSweeney or who whoever is running the show....

1- If the plan is to scare people into voting Labour (instead of stay home/ green/ LDs etc) whats the point when Labour are just enacting Reform policies anyway?

Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed β€˜patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

Keir Starmer under pressure over future of Morgan McSweeney amid briefing row Ministers and Labour MPs point finger at PM’s chief of staff over No 10 operation that targeted Wes Streeting

Why is McSweeney still there. What greater proof would you need that he is incapable of doing the job.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 95th day out of the last 107.

12 days of work in 107 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands The short documentary β€œRovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

I feel like I could live with the brass neck - it is the seemingly successful way that he and others have brainwashed themselves into thinking β€œour crumbling justice system” has an explanation beyond β€œwe didn’t spend enough money on it” that I can’t stand.

What if there was a consensus on the tax reforms the UK needs?

What if it was backed by policy experts from think tanks across the political spectrum, from the Adam Smith Institute to the Resolution Foundation?

The consensus is real. The question is: will anyone act on it?

HMRC now wants Β£39m in unpaid tax β€” and we think we know why: Barrowman and Mone may have avoided tax on their Β£65m profit.
