Just realized Elden Ring roughly follows the tonal path of Lord of the Rings. Things start (relatively) nice in Limgrave, turn mysterious and erudite when they meet the elves, turn all Mordor-y in Caelid, and then you go to a big important city surrounded by the scars of war on the Altus Plateau.

A “fun” observation about the algorithm: it can’t tell the difference between a post with a pet picture and a post with a pet picture in the context of that pet being dead.

Fully half of the pet posting on my timeline is now “aww—ohhh” :-(

If you’re at point blank range with a sandwich the defender gets a bonus to defense against thrown foods, but it’s probably better to take your chances rather than try and move away and provoke an attack of opportunity.

It might be asking too much for some kind remedy to this specific issue (which may be specific to me I admit) in this specific subgenre, but it’d be nice if to think about if these become more popular in the future.

As it stands my options are 1) Just look them up, which isn’t fun. 2) Create a spreadsheet and keep track of combinations I’ve run through process of elimination, which is boring, 3) Try and remember combos, my brain is mushy or 4) Grind out levels and hope to stumble on them.

At the point in BallxPit where I just need to unlock the last few ball and equipment evolutions and just like in Vampire Survivors I wish there was a way to guide players towards figuring them out on your own somehow.
