Happy Black History Month! Here is my favorite story about a Black American you may not know about: Robert Smalls. He commandeered a confederate ship and sailed himself, his family, and the other enslaved crew and their families to freedom. THROUGH waters controlled by the Confederacy.

When I was a teacher I told a high schooler I couldn’t eat pop tarts because I was vegetarian. I meant “the frosting contains gelatin that is probably from animals” but she heard “pop tarts are naturally occurring creatures”. This rock would have confirmed it!

Right wing “Christians” are attacking bishops who call for mercy, defending or giving Nazi salutes, and giddily cheering for deportations, all while continuing to pretend that THEY are the ones who are being persecuted.

Damn them all to Hell.
