I took this photo back in 2012 when I was on my way to the icecore drilling camp on Greenland.

It is from the inside of an American Hercules plane (NY Air National Guard) that flew us 300 miles to the centre of the Ice Sheet and landed there with skis.

Such a different time.

Men der er brug for i en eller anden forstand at forklare meget tydeligt hvor fringe og uvidenskabeligt det er.

Og desværre er der også nogle danskere som er prominente i gruppen af grifters som gerne vil sælge disse alternative virkeligheder til dem der gerne vil købe det.

De er bondefangere. Ikke videnskabsmænd.

Hvis der havde været lidt mere plads, så kunne det have været godt at understrege det endnu tydeligere hvor langt de her holdninger er fra den moderne videnskab.

Hele ideen om at Somaliere har en IQ på 68 og at alt er bestemt af dine gener (og race) er IKKE viden. Det er det pure nonsens.

Hvad forener Silicon Valley og MAGA’s nationalpopulister? De er besat af IQ På højrefløjen taler man en hel del om IQ, og det er måske en af nøglerne til at forstå, hvad der holder sammen på koalitionen omkring Trump: driften mod at kunne skelne mellem de duelige og de udueli...

Had a funny situation yesterday with the young ones (age 12) that I play D&D with.

They had never heard about vampires not being able to cross running water and thought it was the most stupid thing they had ever heard of. We had to google for them to be convinced that I was not messing with them😄

RightWingCope on twitter dot com posts a thumbnail from Kurt Caz wherein various details of a British high street are changed to make them more threatening to racists - shops have their storefronts replaced by writing in Arabic and a random friendly black guy has a mask superimposed on his face as if he is a robber. In the original Caz himself is giving the black bloke a thumbs up but he has removed that from his thumbnail, suggesting he was trying to deceive the man.

Elon Musk and the Trump administration gleefully shutting down USAID “has already caused the deaths of six hundred thousand people, two-thirds of them children.”

People throw around terms like genocide quite freely online but it’s hard to find other words to describe this level of man-made death.
