I want us to reserve our intellectual curiosity, effort, and output for those who've sought the truth & have found it! Folks contributing contrarian opinions in favor of a status quo or deflection from what's in plain sight aren't truly earnest or self-aware.

The Washington Post just laid off its entire award-winning photo team. They were our eyes in places we'll never see. It's a horrifying loss at a time when lying governments, propaganda and AI slop are on the rise.

1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isnโ€™t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

Side-by-side image of book: "The Complexity of Cooperation: Agent-Based Models of Competition and Collaboration" by Robert Axelrod and pages from inside the book a) chart "Promoting Norms" and subsection on Metanorms detailing a story from Texas in 1930 about the practice of lynching. This paragraph is highlighted with key points in the story and explains: "This is one way to enforce a norm: punish those who do not support it. In other words, be vengful, not only against the violation of the norm, but also against anyone who refuses to punish the defectors." The author (R. Alexrod) goes on to say, "This is what I will call a metanorm. Metanorms are widely used in the systems of denunciation in communist societies."

I found this story about Texas in 1930 in this book. It explains so much about human behavior: trust, norms, and aggression.

Copied text from original post on IG: A viral clip exposes libertarian talking points, in this case from Magatte Wade, an African libertarian who describes herself as a โ€˜prosperity activistโ€™. The rhetoric erases the violent economic truths behind Africaโ€™s present reality and its colonial history. The reaction speaker, @willz.talks, dismantles the claim that โ€œAfrica is not poor because of colonialismโ€ by reminding viewers that the continent is still living through the aftershocks of empire and ongoing extraction. Ethiopia is held up as never colonized, yet the country endured one of the most brutal modern invasions under Mussolini and continues to face resource theft by multinational corporations that operate with almost no oversight. That is not economic freedom; that is neocolonial extraction.

He then breaks down how Botswana is consistently misused as a libertarian example of success. Botswanaโ€™s stability is linked to its intact pre-colonial governance and the discovery of diamonds after independence. Yet the most decisive factor in its growth is the state's nationalization of its primary resource sector. By libertarian standards, this should be a socialist nightmare, yet it is precisely why Botswana is able to retain wealth rather than watch it leak to foreign corporations.

Dr. King condemned the triple evils of racism, poverty, and militarism.

You just voted for $3.3B more to Netanyahu as he commits genocide on Palestinians and you oppose HR 40 which studies reparations for Black people.

You are the 'white moderate' that Dr. King condemned as worse than the KKK.

Research shows that highly #altruistic individuals often face social exclusion or resentment. Why? Their actions can make others feel bad by comparison.

This phenomenon is known as the โ€œdo-gooder derogationโ€ or antisocial punishment.
