Angel’s Laundromat by Lucia Berlin: this is the only short story in this list at the moment and I think it’s a pity, because I really like short stories and I really like laundromats and I believe short stories and laundromats belong together

L’Assommoir by Émile Zola: ok so there is nothing automatic about this laundromat since it was written in the XIXth century, but in some way Gervaise’s shop is a laundromat

Third and Oak, The Laundromat by Marsha Norman: I haven’t seen the play, only read it but I really like it. I’ve always liked stories where two strangers meet randomly in the middle of the night and talk while everyone is sleeping. This play is that kind of story + it’s happening at a laundromat

I know there aren't lots of people here but I'll still ask: does anyone know some good novels/comics/fanfics/plays in which at least one scene takes place at a landromat? Bonus point if it is magic realism, fantastic, horror or science fiction
