This is not Discord “walking things back.” This is them further explaining the situation in more detail, and elaborating on how the new system will work. I understand the impulse to attribute this to outrage and Nitro cancellations, but this is just a better explanation, not a change.

What's further upsetting about the removal of that substory in Yakuza 3 is that the character model for Ayaka (and her voice) were the likeness of the VERY REAL transwoman Ayana Tsubaki. So the game just erased an actual trans woman.
