My message is simple: local government is still in crisis. Until we secure long-term solutions on council funding, social care, and special educational needs, that crisis will only deepen and we need our MPs and lords holding the government to account to achieve this.

Taking a break from the campaign trail to head to London, where I’ll be speaking to the Lib Dem parliamentary party.

So many of them are passionate advocates for councils, with firsthand experience as councillors. They understand the challenges we face on the ground.

It’s official! The nomination forms are in and I’m thrilled to say I’m now officially a candidate standing for re-election to the County Council!

When you start hitting older milestones and realise that teachers and health professionals still can’t afford to buy at 50, you realise the scale of the problem.

Rural exception sites are the only delivery tool that has ever worked, and we miss binding affordable targets with teeth.

There’s a serious housing crisis in the Cotswolds. Many people who’ve grown up here simply can’t afford to stay.

We urgently need more genuinely affordable homes for local families, along with essential upgrades to infrastructure like roads and sewage systems to support them. 🏡
