My villageβs Facebook group.
Yes, crime is down by any meaningful measure, but shoplifting being essentially legalised is bad and needs to be addressed because it erodes the very foundation of our society: you get what you pay for.
Leicester County Council Reform UK have said no to electronic calendars on Microsoft Outlook because they keep missing meetings.
Half of their cabinet missed a meeting as they didnβt check their emails.

Shocked at the awful scenes in Liverpool tonight. My brother was there earlier and thankfully heβs safe. A day that was full of joy and celebration ends in chaos and fear.
Thinking of Liverpudlians and everyone caught up.

My message is simple: local government is still in crisis. Until we secure long-term solutions on council funding, social care, and special educational needs, that crisis will only deepen and we need our MPs and lords holding the government to account to achieve this.

Rural exception sites are the only delivery tool that has ever worked, and we miss binding affordable targets with teeth.
Thereβs a serious housing crisis in the Cotswolds. Many people whoβve grown up here simply canβt afford to stay.
We urgently need more genuinely affordable homes for local families, along with essential upgrades to infrastructure like roads and sewage systems to support them. π‘

Our message to the Labour Government is simple:
Bigger councils may seem more efficient, but they risk distancing decision-making from local people.
Issues should be decided by those who understand them best - the people they impact.
Letβs keep decision-making close to home.
