Brutalism + Orange = subway system from 1967, that's just how it is ๐
17.02.2026 21:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0feels like a Montreal subway station
17.02.2026 21:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0lol they have so little confidence in this demand being sustained, at all, that they're not wasting a penny of capex
17.02.2026 20:48 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I will say again: getting really into typewriters *to stay ahead of the curve*
17.02.2026 20:33 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0OMG. Do you have any other advice? You have my attention. ๐
17.02.2026 20:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Is it drag? Yeah, it's drag.
17.02.2026 20:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Wow, this is great. I love this.
17.02.2026 20:03 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Two white men in approximately their thirties in a sports stadium crowd. They are both standing and wearing Canadian Mountie costumes from the "Sexy Halloween Mountie" collection - knee-high red socks, glittery black hot pants showing an expanse of pale thigh, and red coats made of sequins rather than the famous serge. The hats are uniform standard, and they are wearing aviator sunglasses. A Tim Hortons cup (equally bedazzled) hangs where usually a mountie would have a holster. One of them is looking offscreen, mid-disco move. The other is looking straight at the camera with a "what are you going to do" smile on his face.
I do not know who these speed-skating spectators are, but I adore them.
17.02.2026 19:12 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0the glittery coffee cup on the belt! Incredible commitment to the bit.
17.02.2026 19:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A tartan with a rich mossy-green and brown background, and stripes of red, white, and fire orange. I would be so pleased to wear this, if I was a dinosaur.
It's #TartanTuesday! 16 Tartans registered since last week, including this one, honouring a child's toy Dinosaur that gets taken on adventures around the world by helpful grownups. www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetail...
17.02.2026 19:08 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm having trouble updating my cynicism in real time
17.02.2026 19:01 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I really enjoyed it and wish to follow this class.
17.02.2026 18:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This write up from @touchofallright.bsky.social about how she adapted her teaching methods to give college students what they really needed in 2025 is a balm for the soul.
17.02.2026 16:51 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The second you think you've seen them all someone will make an internal one.
17.02.2026 16:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There was a good talk some time ago about sports games as narrative generators, so perhaps there's something to the drama of sport if not the sport itself.
17.02.2026 16:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0One of the many challenges possible in Game Dev Story, to my recollection
17.02.2026 16:08 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Or I dunno is the idea that everyone making anything more or less randomly becomes a game designer and every single thing is now a game where every choice and action costs money per action? Everything there is, is a not-free-to-play?
17.02.2026 16:05 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0but the point here is that other companies like amazon are going to chatbotify your work anyway
17.02.2026 15:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's a funny mental exercise to picture each team having to bring their own branded rocks in home and visitor colourways.
17.02.2026 14:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Kind of feel like if my books are going to be software I could just keep making software instead?
17.02.2026 14:56 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 1It really is like an ACAB situation. The detector AI is just as shit as the creator AI.
17.02.2026 12:41 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0These detectors are rubbish, they're LLMs too and they're trying to sell the poison and the cure.
It said my book was 70% AI-generated.
It was published in 2016.
I was able to buy an early 2025 PC in January for a normal
Prive, and I did it on credit because it seemed like they would only get unobtainably expensive soon.
Iโve been soothing my nerves with videos about typewriters
17.02.2026 12:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Such a strong family resemblance here!
16.02.2026 21:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hope there's some kind of soft mat you can curl up on down there in the abyss.
16.02.2026 21:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think they will do something about it when it starts coming for the cars
16.02.2026 21:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thank you. It's honestly a lot while also writing for games. Too much feedback every day, not enough time to just think.
16.02.2026 18:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You also can't get grants for work directly connected to a school project so I need to wait until after I graduate to do research involving travel, on account of not being a millionaire and having spent all my money on tuition.
