Yeah, and in the case with Lucas, the guilds’ rules around director credits have vindicated him, now that any major blockbuster can be reasonably expected to place ALL the credits, and even the movie’s title, at the end credits.

Upon doing a bit more reading, it looks like they teamed up to fine Lucas together.

J.J.’s “oh, George” remark struck me as the closest he ever got to sounding like Mr. Plinkett during the TFA press tour, in terms of how patronizing one could sound when trying to act like they knew more about Lucas’ films than he did, so that’s why I decided to use that still for the thumbnail.

The whole video had sprung out of the “Downside to Star Wars” montage, which I’d edited as an experiment for fun, to see how best I could communicate purely through editing together pre-existing footage (like 21:87) why Lucas had been so critical of the movie during its release.

A bit of an easter egg on my sequel trilogy video is that the still of J.J. Abrams smiling comes from the clip in this part of the vid where he awkwardly says, “Oh George, this is great.”

Like, obviously I’m on the side of all LGBTQIA+ people when it comes to rights and dignities, especially trans people since they’re the most targeted these days. I just call out misinformation where I see it. Doesn’t matter who it’s coming from.

It mostly just bugs me because it’s impossible to have a conversation if the other person just shuts everything down by labelling any valid criticism of someone as bigotry.

I wish that were plausible, but unfortunately I’ve actually gotten a couple other comments on my videos from people insinuating that I’m transphobic just for making criticisms of Jessie and Aranock.

Thankfully it’s only been like two or three, and then this one as well now.

Say what you will about Jessie and Aranock, but their Content really does encourage robust conversations with high levels of critical thinking.

What is your source for that claim?
