Instead of fostering transparency, Twitter/X is now a platform that actively undermines the values I believe are crucial for democracy. I cannot continue to use a platform that has become so harmful. After long consideration I have therefore deleted my Twitter/X account. I’ll continue to find other ways to engage with constituents and communities, and I hope this decision highlights just how urgent it is to push back against the spread of disinformation and the misuse of social media platforms. We need digital spaces that support truth, democracy, and fairness—not ones that tear them down.
