RIP John Lodge

Even though the Moody Blues were hugely successful in their 60s-70s heydey, and again in the 80s, their legacy seems overshadowed by their (lesser) contemporaries. I don't understand it. Now with John's death only Justin Hayward remains.☹️

Yeah, the Who version of Disguises is messed up.

I don't remember that. Maybe we were talking about So Sad About Us? I dunno.

A lot of their early records sound crappy. Disguises is one of my favorites but it sounds terrible. Love it anyway.

Capitol released a third Beatles 2xLP comp after the Red & Blue records, Rock N Roll Music, which I always liked far more than those double platinum discs.

The Who was a far smaller business enterprise at the time. Meaty was like the Singles Going Steady of it's era. The Tommy single didn't work.

If Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy had I Can't Reach You instead of Pinball Wizard it would be among the greatest compilations ever.
Anyway, Pictures Of Lily is great. Close to the perfect Who tune.
