Reading María Puig de la Bellacasa's article "'Nothing comes without its world': thinking with care" (DOI: 10.1111/j.1467-954X.2012.02070.x) in which she mentions Donna Haraway's "call to pay attention to the workings and consequences of our 'semiotic technologies'- that is, to practices and arts of fabricating meaning with signs, words, ideas, descriptions, theories' ["Situated knowledges" chapter of _Simians, Cyborgs, and Women_], it occurred to me that this is my problem with using AI in teaching/learning: generative AI seems, to me, for now, not to be a technology of care.
