Loved Chicago when I visited from the UK - one of my favourite cities.
Took the train in from the airport (everyone told me to get a cab) and morning runs round the lake shore.
Everywhere has its problems but as a solo white female traveller never once felt unsafe.

My Gen Z boys are 19 & 21 - decent, respectful, kind, funny, employed / studying, over 6’, genuinely like women, support equality and hate the podcast manosphere stuff. Both are single. The dating ‘process’ for their generation seems to have become horribly complex and toxic.

Amphitheatre at Termessos

It was quite physical - we did Olympos the day after, much easier going, though hotter. Def worth a return trip. The Amphitheater is something else.

I just posted about how different the reactions are, from what I can see as a Brit living in the UK.

I note, from the distant perspective of the UK, very different reactions from Trump, MAGA and the US Media to the murder of Charlie Kirk vs Melissa Hortman and her husband.
