I don't like a know-it-all, unless, of course, they do, like Tom.

As long as it's not bland or coriander forward, I really enjoy whatever I eat. I even had a potato dish yesterday, which I typically avoid.

They may control the House, the Senate, the White House, and the Supreme Court, but they don't control us.

I hope a significant number of local, state and federal law enforcement now in Memphis oppose the snarls and growls of the administration's junkyard dogs. The occupation has begun. I can not fathom the capitulation, but it is a red state and a fearful mayor was paid off to demonstrate compliance.

Kegsbreath is into cosplay as much as the puppy killer is.

That I've had. I will eat okra however it's served. Raised southern, I've eaten it since childhood.

I've never had that. I have more experience with curries. I am happy with most vegetarian dishes, but chicken or goat vindaloo will be a go to if they have it. The only offputting flavor I might taste in Indian cuisine is coriander/(cilantro) leaves, which is like soap to me.

My son-in-law deals with this frequently. His office brings in lunch on a whim with no warning. He saves the meat wrap for the following day, but he'll eat his apple, almonds, and cookie after the freebies, which is either pizza, fried catfish or fried chicken.

My intro to Indian food in my 40'swas all bland orange pablum. Once I discovered the spicy side, now it's a treat I buy at least twice a month. Tomorrow is one of those treat meals for me and my daughter, less than four miles away.

Lovely scene. My only visit to Lake Superior was the end of June '99, driving solo from Minneapolis. I followed the North Shore to Two Harbors, and a chill wind laughed at my all weather jacket. I later met my third husband, Minnesota-born, with eyes the color of the water I'd seen that day.

Frankly, his AI sounds more lucid than Trump himself sounds.

Oh, don't do that. If anything, they will look more like their dear leader, DJT.

Members of the military are obligated not to obey unlawful orders from higher ranking officers, but Pete is WAR secretary, a civilian position. Still, they must "disobey manifestly or patently illegal orders", no matter who issues them, and that extends to both the president and the WAR secretary.

Whenever that happens to me, I think about dinner. That always keeps me going through the low spots in my day. 😁

Life is tough. You live and then you die. Nothing goes with you. What you hold as precious may end up broken or lost or discarded. It was always only leased for your lifetime. Maybe a few things will find a home with a child or a friend. Don't let it break your heart. Find peace with impermanence.

Ditch the generalities. You hope that your children understand you through objects you keep. Far better to bring them into the discussion now. Let them choose how to understand your lived experience. The dead seldom dictate beyond a will. Leave your words, your memories, your stories, in letters.

The interest of future generations is why I suggested you ask your children. You can always make a memory book, hoping somebody will want to preserve it for the future, but culling is the the process for discarding for the benefit of what's left, which you consider the best. Keep only what's best.

I don't think you should blame our current predicament on a lack of sanity by the voting public and representative government. Hate and fear are driving the current clown car. Lizard brains are running rampant.

The man can't qualify for a performance bond. How the hell is he going to bankroll that ballroom? We know that he never really intended to pay for it. And now he's asking for donations! Always the grifter!

Unless your Grandmother's copy of Shakespeare is a first edition or is inscribed by a notable person, it will be better off in a reader's fresh hands. As for the wedding photos, ask the children if they want them. If they don't, ditch them. Do it now rather than make your survivors do it later.

Every president is a temporary president. That's why the constitution limits the term of service.

This morning my heart is tight. Over the past year or so, my old man Smokey had lost weight and quit grooming. He'd go off his food and hide for a day, and then bounce back. Yesterday was another "off" day. This morning, he was gone. He was a perfect cat. My next cat will be perfect as well.

I am sorry that you have gone through that. It's obvious that you have walked the walk with your integrity intact; however, your brand of resistance isn't the only respectable brand of resistance. Not everybody can vow, "Knock me down. I will not carry your shield." Some just toss it and walk away.

And you sit in your righteousness and pass judgement on the actions of somebody whose decision is based on a backstory and choices to which you are not aware. Walk a mile, please.

Rhetoric plants seeds. The pattern: unhinged obsession. School shootings are most often the work of current or former male students. The recent shooters are/were young males, and males do commit the overwhelming majority of targeted shootings. Shooters also mirror the population demographic by race.

Kirk had bad things to say about empathy. He certainly wouldn't want that from us, now would he?
