My payback is looking like 5 years on a quality 48kwh battery. So are 1/5th what I paid but likely not good quality. The cost per kWh is half what I paid tesla for a pw2 4 years ago.

I hope so. In the meantime, every battery install takes away gas usage and drops grid prices.

They are incredibly cheap and getting cheaper. That's why there is so much investment in them. I expect a lot more as they perfectly balance my solar meaning i rarely need the grid. Even better, I can feed the grid when it needs energy and make very significant money. This is happening, grid scale
