Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.
Well said!!! In total agreement with these sentiments!

To the right, a quote is displayed in white and orange text: “The BBC isn’t perfect, as we've pointed out - but it remains one of the few institutions standing between our British values and a populist, Trump-style takeover of our politics. “As a public service broadcaster, its role is vital in ensuring our politics is based on facts, scrutiny, and accountability. “These attacks on the BBC are not just attacks on a broadcaster —they are a strategy by the hard right to replace the truth with propaganda. "We must stand up for a free press, free speech and a strong and independent public broadcaster, to stop Trump's America becoming Farage’s Britain.
A free, independent BBC is vital to a free, informed democracy.
Don’t let Trump’s America become Farage’s Britain.
A social media post by Karoline Leavitt (The White House Press Secretary) showing two news headlines side-by-side. The left headline, under a caption that reads "Shot" reads: "Trump goes to war with 'fake news' BBC," and the right headline under a caption that reads "Chaser" reads: "Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general over Trump documentary edit."
I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.
To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.
“It feels like Brexit déjà vu, the same hollow promises of taking back control, the same disregard for facts, the same blindness to consequence.”

60% of the British public agree: our voting system is not fit for purpose.
The upcoming Elections Bill is a chance to fix it.
I just signed a @makevotesmatter.bsky.social petition to the Democracy Minister, calling for Proportional Representation. Add your name: actionnetwork.org/petitions/pe...

Cllr Barry Lewis opened the debate with a vision for his grandchildren.
What's behind Nigel Farage's deregulation plans for corporations?
Follow the money 👀
He isn't a party leader. He's a CEO. And his investors have spoken.
I hope the BBC will challenge Nigel Farage today over the economic damage caused by the Brexit he championed.
He needs to be held to account for the damage he's done instead of always being given an easy ride.

🚨 LIB DEM CENSURE MOTION 🚨
We have tabled a censure motion, calling on Parliament to rebuke Sarah Pochin’s racist remarks and for Reform Leader Nigel Farage to withdraw the whip.
Reform MP Sarah Pochin: “It drives me mad when I see adverts full of Black people, full of Asian people, full of people that are basically anything other than White.”
If the colour of someone else’s skin drives you ‘mad’, you are a Grade-A racist.
When Trump bullies Canada, Britain can’t stay silent. The Prime Minister needs to come out and clearly criticise these tantrum tariffs, not sit on the fence. 🇬🇧🇨🇦
