Sad to see you've lost respect. I hope having all the information will reassure you. Cheltenham had all out elections in 2024, so it wasn't to extend the term beyond the maximum 4 years.

Its not embarrassing. Cheltenham had all out elections in 2024. They weren't trying to extend the term beyond 4 years.

I have just looked into this. It appears there were all out elections in 2024, so in the case of Cheltenham, it wasn't to extend the term beyond the maximum 4 years.

The reorganisation is unlikely before 2028. Many have already been postponed a year.

Oh absolutely but that's likely to hit the less experienced local party organisations. Those parties that work their patch all year round will have a head start.

I suspect Charlie isn't a Lib Dem and probably not a real person.

I may be wrong but restrictions will exist once the notice of election has been posted won't they? Ironically that's just a few weeks away so may reduce impact.

Labour are an authoritarian party. They always have been. See also Tony Blair.

Probably?

Which local parties are set-up to cope best with this will be significant.

It wasn't that she was performing well. Starmer was struggling though.

There's been no serious challenge to the Conservatives in that ward for years. They flirted with the BNP once.

I would also ask how well the Greens got the message across to Lib Dems.

Totally agree that this should go to conference but we have to allow the parliamentary party to do stuff that gets the party notice. The Birmingham bit is dumb and performative. It was no doubt designed to grab the headlines. Department for Growth (DfG) has some merit.
