Size matters. Power matters. Powertrain matters more.

Now that timberhp is fully online Iβm starting to see some more aggressive moves made by them which is exciting!

15.05.2025 13:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We designed a building system, it's flexible to scale the building size and layout. However there isn't a way for us to per-approve that system which is frustrating. If all we needed was a site work plan review, it'd cut down on time for sure.
14.05.2025 20:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was hopeful they'd be willing to work with others to build a more sustainable environment but they are focused on themselves and only themselves.
Sorry but a regenerative future is one that is collaborative and inviting and they aren't inviting anyone in that doesn't support them 100% of the way.
I won't be investing in Geoship. I wish them the best of luck and do hope they are able to bring it to market as their building is healthier than most.
That being said, it smells like Katerra and for that, I'm out.
Thanks to Steve Jobs and Gorilla Glass, factories in America are now ramping up to make affordable windows, made from panes thinner than a credit card, that can:
* save Americans $25 billion / year
* withstand a 2x4 shot out of a cannon

I'm surprised to see Alpen in this. They make the best windows for our climate (Sonoran Desert) from a high performance perspective. Now to see if we can get our hands on some to do some testing.

I try, but I think. I think I'll try again.
To bring it out of philosophical thought;
The fact that you care about this and how others are abusing the term signals that you are one of those passionate folks who is pushing for better. To that I say thank you and if I can lend a hand, just ask.
So many people justify their actions by throwing around fancy altruistic ideas but never intend to live up to them.
We all make mistakes, but many folks seem to be guarded from learning and doing better. Many clouded by politics rather than looking to what matters the most, human connections.
Personally I don't know what missing middle is, humans and words are a struggle for me. I've heard the 4 families that live there have created a fulfilling community. So if these aren't missing middle, they have accomplished what I understand the intent of missing middle to be.

Design is often personal and visuals are just one aspect of design. Human experience has many factors and when I visited these during the open house, there is a lot a video will never be able to capture.
Great piece on a missing middle housing called Mews here in Phoenix. #passivehouse wasn't the goal it was a byproduct of focusing on healthy sustainable materials used properly.

I'm curious why an HRV instead of an ERV?
When people think of prefab they think of completed structures that are plug n play. They don't think of how to pre-make components that work in a unified way.
We are prefabbing posts that make our building better. Anyone can make what we are doing. And they are still human movable.
Exactly this. Using healthy natural materials is objectively better, they just happen to be more sustainable and performant along the way.
03.02.2025 02:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, I'm going for it. I'm already all in on meditation, but group meditations for peace feels...religious.
I don't classify myself as religious or spiritual. I am simply curious about these high wave lengths that we can tap into and how they create a love for life.
My struggles have mostly be around treating myself as a human, forgiving myself is hard. You'll figure out your struggles, have confidence stepping into the unknown π
