Throughout Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages, a vast corpus of potentially dangerous texts was dismissed as unorthodox and unauthorised by Christian scholars and policy makers. Yitzhak Hen explores some of the mechanism that allowed the dealing with such texts.

We expect to go online with an overview page for NA and DA within a week, so browsing access will be available. Unfortunately, the bookmarks to Digizeitschriften are all obsolete now. (2/3)

Indeed, this is a major problem. But all articles of the Deutsches Archiv (and the older Neues Archiv) can be researched in our OPAC and we have a PDF of each article publicly available. As of now, the old "Archiv" (1819–1874) is still work in progress. (1/3)

Im letzten Beitrag des Deutschen Archivs widmet sich Jasmin Dorfer der Bibliothek des berühmten Paläographen Bernhard Bischoff. Bischoff schrieb nicht in seine Bücher, sondern legte Zettel hinein, auf denen er seine Notizen vermerkte. Dorfer wertet die Zettel in ihrer Studie aus.

Wolfgang Strobl widmet sich einem kartographiehistorischen Thema. Er analysiert eine Stelle aus Felix Fabris Evagatorium genauer, wo Fabri die Orte Toblach und Niederdorf in Tirol geographisch falsch zuordnet. Strobl führt dies auf die Verwendung einer fehlerhaften Karte zurück.

Wie schon im vergangenen Heft, so beschäftigt sich Dominik Trump auch im neuesten Heft des Deutschen Archivs mit einer bislang von der Forschung völlig vernachlässigten Handschrift der Institutio sanctimonialium von 816, die heute in der KBR in Brüssel aufbewahrt wird.

Christof Paulus, Kristýna und Daniel Luger analysieren und edieren die Version der "Passio Pragensium Iudaeorum secundum Iohannem rusticum quadratum" in einer Handschrift aus St. Paul im Lavanttal. Diese Beschreibung des Progroms von 1389 in Prag ist nah zu den Ereignissen entstanden.

Lukáš Reitinger beschäftigt sich in seinem Beitrag mit der "Cronica Boemorum auct. canonico S. Blasii Brunsvicensis". Dieses historiographische Werk steht in einem komplexen Überlieferungszusammenhang mit anderen Werken böhmischer Geschichtsschreibung, vor allem zur Chronik des Cosmas.

Jörg Peltzer führt uns in seinem Aufsatz ins 13. Jahrhundert und analysiert die Beweggründe König Richards von Cornwall für seine Heirat mit Beatrix von Valkenburg im Jahr 1269. Dabei spielten die Reichsministerialen als Stütze von Richards Herrschaft eine große Rolle.

In dem ersten Aufsatz im neuen DA beschäftigt sich Bart van Hees eingehend mit der handschriftlichen Überlieferung der Annales regni Francorum im 9. Jahrhundert und fragt nach der Rolle dieses wichtigen historiographischen Werks für die karolingische Dynastie.
